If you game exclusively on Xbox you’re missing out on some of the best games ever made. If you game exclusively on PlayStation you’re missing out on some of the best games ever made. Unless you own everything you’re literally going to be missing out. All your fifth grade classmates might buy into that nonsense, but around here people don’t have time for that kind of childish propaganda.īut you could make the same argument against anyone who games on any system exclusively. I think you’re just upset seeing people more happy with their switch than you are with your self proclaimed “big boy console”. Trying to insult people who prefer Nintendo is one of the most childish things you could possibly do. But it doesn’t need them because it’s got so many amazing games already, and 7th gen AAA games are a much better fit for a hybrid portable console anyways.īut for the record plenty of people game exclusively Nintendo and are more happy than you’ll ever be. Just like the game boy advance wasn’t meant to get N64 games. Switch was never meant to get the latest cutting-edge graphics games in the first place. Just because it doesn’t come to switch doesn’t mean people are missing out. Most people here have at least one other console or PC. Not to mention those “big boy consoles” you speak of, are mainly targeted at younger kids who can’t afford proper gaming PCs. No sane adult has that kind of mindset because sane adults play all kinds of games regardless of their graphical prowess. There is no such thing as “big boy games”. This is one of the most childish comments I’ve ever seen. Gaming exclusively with Nintendo is a road to gaming unhappinessĪnd you were telling others they reek of fanboyism? Mon 13th Apr you want to play the big boy games, you'll need a big boy console. It's worth noting that out of RE0, 1, CVX, 4, 5, and 6. Effectively just updating the graphics and adding in a more robust control system. A distinction I have to make since RE2 and 3 were (and still are) called remakes while they are in fact 'reimaginings'. To do an extensive remaster or 'faithful remake'. And this is only compounded by RE4's popularity and critical acclaim. This kind of remake will not be able to live outside of RE4's shadow. Just by virtue of already being an OTS shooter horror, gamers will be making direct comparisons between the games. And both directions have a real possibility of upsetting people. Remaking RE4 means that the designers have to either remake the game barely changing anything, keeping level designs and combat gameplay the same, or they change everything. And this has the effect of giving a fresh experience to an old game. The original RE2 and 3 are such a departure from modern game design that remaking them leaves loads of room for change without real scrutiny. I said on the PS site, if this is true it won't be as automatically loved as RE2 and 3 have been. Do you think an RE4 remake can match the GameCube original? Tell us below. Nintendo fans looking for some Resident Evil action on the Switch can still download the original versions - which were ported to the system last year - via the eShop. Capcom was previously asked if the Resident Evil 2 remake would ever show up on the Switch but said it had no plans at the time and wanted to focus on the systems the game had been announced for. The platforms this game will be released on haven't been revealed yet, but given the track record of the previous remakes, it's unlikely to appear on the Nintendo Switch. Resident Evil 4 director Shinji Mikami has given the remake his blessing and provided some informal advice on its direction, even though he apparently declined the role of project lead due to commitments with Bethesda’s GhostWire: Tokyo.
